Abstract
Pottery from Satricum and surveys in southern Lazio (Italy) is investigated combining different classification methods, including vessel form, ware and fabric descriptions. Each method is presented in detail. The resulting classifications are interrelated and present a precise account of vessel typology as well as resources and manufacturing procedures for the period 900-300 BC.
