Abstract

Bulk gold, being the most stable among all metals, was for
\nmany years considered as an inert catalyst. However, gold
\nparticles with size on the scale of nanometers (gold
\nnanoparticles, Au NPs) have been recognized as surprisingly
\nactive and extraordinary e¿ective green catalysts, generating a
\nhighly popular research topic in the frontier between
\nhomogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis
