Reversible Sodium Ion Insertion in Single Crystalline Manganese Oxide Nanowires with Long Cycle Life

Abstract
Single crystalline Na4Mn9O18 nanowires are prepared with a polymer-pyrolysis method. This material shows a high, reversible sodium ion insertion/extraction capacity, excellent cycling ability, and promising rate capability for sodium-ion battery applications.
