Free Radical Functionalization of Organic Compounds Catalyzed by N- Hydroxyphthalimide
Indexed incrossrefpubmed
Abstract
This review gives a general overview of the reactions\ncatalyzed by N-hydroxyphthalimide and related compounds.\nIt focuses on processes ranging from commercial production of \nchemicals, such as adipic and terephthalic acid, to fine\nchemicals such as those discussed in the sections on C-N\nand C-C bond formation.\nThe synthetic and reaction mechanisms aspects are critically rewieved, as well \na great consideration is given to the thermodynamic and kinetic issues\nconcerning the nitroxyl radicals involved in the catalytic procesess.
