Abstract
This practice guideline has been approved by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the American Society of Transplantation and represents the position of both Associations. Guidelines on Evaluation for Liver Transplantation (LT) were published in 2005 by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).1 In the interim there have been major advances in the management of chronic liver disease, most notably in antiviral therapy for chronic viral hepatitis.
