Abstract
Improving logistics performance is at \n the core of the economic growth and competitiveness agenda. \n Policymakers globally recognize the logistics sector as one \n of their key pillars for development. Trade powerhouses in \n Europe like the Netherlands or in developing countries like \n Vietnam or Indonesia see seamless and sustainable logistics \n as an engine of growth and of integration with global value \n chains. Indeed, inefficient logistics raises the costs of \n trading and reduces the potential for global integration. \n This is a hefty burden for developing countries trying to \n compete in the global marketplace.
