Abstract

Objectives

To demonstrate the use of Rasch analysis by assessing the appropriateness of utilizing the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) total score (HADS-14) as a measure of psychological distress.

Design

Cross-sectional, using Rasch analysis.
