This paper introduces the updated and
\n expanded version of the Financial Development and Structure
\n Database and presents recent trends in structure and
\n development of financial institutions and markets across
\n countries. The authors add indicators on banking structure
\n and financial globalization. They find a deepening of both
\n financial markets and institutions, a trend concentrated in
\n high-income countries and more pronounced for markets than
