Abstract

Chinese forest construction was analyzed based on the data of six forest inventories from year 1950 to 2003, and a conclusion was drawn that both the forest area and volume had been increased greatly after more than 50 years of cultivation, protection and utilization, %ie% forest area increased by 111.74% compared with that of the early stage of our country founding, while forest volume only increased by 17.4%.
