Abstract

Different clinical situations. This article aims to provide a summary of this document along with its implications for nursing practice. The third universal definition of myocardial infarction The main feature of this new definition is the recognition of a rise and/or fall of cardiac biomarker values, with at least one of the values being raised. The favoured cardiac biomarker of myocardial injury is the highly sensitive and specific cardiac troponin (cTn).
