Abstract

A unitary framework of constitutive modelling of jointed rock is proposed in this paper. Seepage pressure, which is important especially for hydraulic structures, is included in generalized free energy function, similar to a state variable rather than just a loading. The damage-induced dilatancy is characterized by a special term in free energy function. A damage evolution law based on endochronic theory is proposed. And finally, some numerical results of the mechanical behaviour of this model and its application to Kölnbrein dam in Austria and Xiaowan dam in China are presented. Cet article propose une formulation générale d’une loi de matière destinee à la description de rochers crevassés. L’influence de…
