Abstract

The author proposed preliminary tests of sweeling-ability using the existing endothermic maxima of minerals influencing swelling. In the paper he shows that there are eluvia and illite clays in which swelling can be observed “in situ” but it is not proved by the well known test methods. In the paper tests of swelling are proposed for stable points of humidity, i.e. tests of the specimens dried at the temperatures of 105°C and 180°C. Humiidties after swelling and while building should be registered. On a montré…
