World Population Prospects The 2006 Revision

The 2006 Revision of World Population Prospects represents the latest global demographic estimates and projections prepared by the Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat. This volume of the 2006 Revision shows the age and sex distribution of populations of these official United Nations world population estimates and projections. Covering the 1950-2050 time period, age and sex distributions are provided for the world, each development group, the major areas and regions of the world and for each country with more than 100,000 inhabitants in 2007.
