Based on literature evidence and expert consensus, the Japanese Classification of Colorectal, Appendiceal, and Anal Carcinoma 1,2) (JCCRC) has been developed and sustained by the Japanese Society for Cancer of the Colon and Rectum (JSCCR) since 1977.
