Abstract The Journal of Social and Personal Relationships is an international and interdisciplinary peer‐reviewed journal that publishes the highest quality original research on social and personal relationships. It is published eight times a year, is multidisciplinary in scope and draws material from the fields of social psychology, clinical psychology, communication, developmental psychology, and sociology. Published for the first time in 1984, the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships sets out as its goals the encouragement and support of scholars working on social and personal relationships, whether as personally intertwined as families or as socially connected in other roles.
