Abstract
<p><em>Xylella fastidiosa </em>is an economically important bacterial plant pathogen. With insights gained from 72 genomes, this study investigated differences among the three main subspecies, which have allopatric origins: <em>X. fastidiosa</em> subsp. <em>fastidiosa</em>, <em>multiplex</em>, and <em>pauca</em>.
