The Selection of Strategies in Cue Learning *

Abstract

In this chapter, it is assumed that subjects have difficulty with cue learning problems to the degree that they tend to use strategies which conflict with the strategy intended by the experimenter. The present theorectical discussion begins with a set of strategies and is concerned with the mechanisms by which the subject might select out those strategies intended, and consistently rewarded, by the experimenter.
