Abstract

Ed another putative factor directly stimulating testicular testosterone secretion. LH and hCG are structurally similar, and hCG promotes testicular testosterone secretion through stimulation of the LH receptors on the Leydig cells (Fig. Normal adrenal glands on imaging and low LH levels during degarelix treatment ruled out an adrenal or pituitary source in our patient.
