A PRISMA systematic review of greenwashing in the banking industry: A call for action

This study analyses greenwashing practices in the banking industry using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) and bibliometric methods. This study aims to identify the key concerns associated with greenwashing in the banking sector and understand the extent to which these concerns have been addressed in academic research over the past decade. This analysis was conducted using the Web of Science and Scopus databases, resulting in 19 articles identified following the PRISMA protocol.
