Abstract
The journal Capitalism Nature Socialism (CNS) was founded in 1988 by a collective concerned with the ecological crisis that sought to develop leftist theoretical frameworks on people-environment relations, as well as draw together socialist and environmentalist scholars and activists. A commitment to Eco-socialism and a strong Ecofeminist current undergirded the journal from its outset. Over the years, CNS has emerged as one of the leading publishers of leftist scholarship on the environment within and beyond Political Science.
