Abstract
Influenza viruses still represent a great concern for Public Health by causing yearly seasonal epidemics and occasionally worldwide pandemics. Moreover, spillover events at the animal-human interface are becoming more frequent nowadays, also involving animal species not previously found as reservoirs.
