Abstract: Chlamydia psittaci is one of the primary pathogens responsible for community-acquired atypical pneumonia. If not treated promptly, it can progress to severe pneumonia and may lead to multiple organ dysfunction as well as secondary infections with multi-drug-resistant (MDR) bacteria.
