The Role of Machine Learning in AR/VR-Based Cognitive Therapies: A Systematic Review for Mental Health Disorders

Abstract
This systematic review explores the integration of machine learning (ML) with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies in cognitive therapies for mental health disorders. Analyzing 141 studies following PRISMA guidelines, the findings reveal that ML-driven AR/VR therapies offer significant advancements in personalization, real-time adaptation, and treatment efficacy.
