Abstract

In order to handle the complex technical and scientific aspects involved in the development and approval of pharmaceuticals, regulatory bodies and the pharmaceutical industry came together at the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH). The ICH was founded with the primary goal of improving public health outcomes. Its mission is to promote increased consistency in the technical standards and requirements that govern the registration of pharmaceutical products.
