Max Webers "Religionssystematik"

The volume offers a new approach to Max Webers sociology of religion and his cross-culturally comparative studies. Focusing on key concepts and semantic fields, the discourse of the last turn of the century is reconstructed and Webers location in it is defined. The volume shows Webers dependency on other authors as well as his creativity and ingenuity in operationalizing concepts and linking them to an explanation of diverse civilizational developments.
