Rough road simulation with tire model RMOD-K and Ftire
Indexed incrossref
Abstract
This paper deals with the modeling steps - vehicle model, tire model, road surface description and vehicle control - to realize a virtual rough road ride. The calculation results achieved by means of the physical tire models RMOD-K and FTire are compared to six measurement rides, i.e. that the measurement variation range occurring during real rough road rides is taken into consideration. The load path analysis also includes the suspension strut force and the engine mount force. Finally, a few user-relevant comments are made regarding the tire models.
