Abstract

With the growing demand for eco-friendly food packaging, poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT)/polylactic acid (PLA) composite films have emerged as promising biodegradable alternatives, but their inherent limitations (e.g., poor antioxidant capacity, weak UV stability, and insufficient antimicrobial activity) hinder practical applications. This study aimed to address these drawbacks by incorporating Rosmarinus officinalis L. extract (RM) as a natural multifunctional additive.
