Abstract

Evoluism does not give the final picture of the world. It frees thought from the need for one. This article presents Evoluism as a philosophy of post-totalising world-understanding. Contemporary thought often claims to have moved beyond metaphysics, yet the dream of a final worldview persists under new names: Theory of Everything, total ontology, computational universe, technological destiny, and total ideology. The article argues that this dream is structurally unstable because it attempts to make one world of distinctions speak for Reality itself.
