Abstract

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the leading global organization that prepares and publishes international standards for all electrical, electronic, and related technologies. Through its members, known as National Committees (NC), the IEC promotes international cooperation on all questions of electrotechnical standardization and related matters. The supreme authority of the IEC is the Council, which is the general assembly of the National Committees, who are the Commission's members.
