This cluster of papers focuses on the environmental impact, ecological changes, and water quality issues in the Lake Baikal ecosystem, particularly in relation to climate change, sediment transport, nutrient emissions, and land-use changes in the Selenga River Basin. The research also addresses the biodiversity and unique freshwater ecosystem of Lake Baikal.
